John T. Hardenbergh, Chief Executive Officer
John T. Hardenbergh is a Nuclear Engineer by academic study and a retired U.S. Naval Officer.  He has more than 26 years of program management experience with the US Government, with direct experience in U.S. strategic weapons policy, planning, arms control, international technical assessments, legal reviews, maintenance, safety and security.  Prior to founding BAI, he served as a Vice President in a firm with annual revenues of $600 million and managed the day-to-day operations of 250+ employees, and all budgets necessary for company operations.

Cletus Paul Bauer Jr., President
Paul Bauer is a retired U.S. Naval Officer with a Master’s degree in Physics.   He has worked in or for the U.S. Navy for over fifty years with experience in submarines, program management, strategic weapons analysis and effects, arms control and program security.  He currently supports the Navy as a scientist assisting clients in the understanding the impact of complex sensors on Naval programs.   Mr. Bauer has been with BAI since its founding in 1999 and was appointed President of BAI in the fall of 2017.

Duval M. (Mac) Williams Jr., Vice Chairman of the Board
Duval M. (Mac) Williams Jr., a retired Navy Rear Admiral, has commanded a Navy organization of 2,000 people with budgets in excess of $200 million, with responsibility for major investigations, physical and information security policy and counterintelligence worldwide. Mr. Williams was the Assistant Judge Advocate General of the Navy, and he commanded the largest legal office in the Navy.  Additionally, he served as the principal legal and legislative advisor to four Secretaries of the Navy. Mr. Williams, along with John T.Hardenbergh, founded BAI in 1999. 

Mindy Cookmeyer, Senior Vice President, Corporate Support
Mindy Cookmeyer, with BAI since 1999, has more than 29 years of diverse federal government and private sector experience. Ms. Cookmeyer provides extensive management, from negotiation, inception to close-out, for hundreds of government contracts. In addition, Ms. Cookmeyer manages Finance, Human Resources, and Business Administration for BAI.

Dave Cochran, Vice President, Business Development
Dave Cochran is a recognized authority on acquisitions and source selections with over 35 years of Agency acquisition experience as a senior Contracting Officer. In his role as Vice President of Business Development, Mr. Cochran leads the Business Development Team in strategic planning and determining proposal bids, coordinating proposals, and acting as the senior advisor regarding BAI’s business path.

Jessica Thomas, Vice President, Business Development
Jessica Thomas has more than 10 years of experience in proposal and technical writing for federal and local government audiences. Ms.Thomas liaisons with our many strategic partners and business associates to foster symbiotic relationships which produce top quality proposals.  She coordinates the production and preparation of hundreds of proposals, and the development of marketing materials across numerous disciplines and technologies.

Adam Carrera, Vice President, Director of Contracts
Adam Carrera 
has been with BAI since 2001 and is the Director of Contracts.  He is responsible for Contract Administration and Proposal Pricing for the company, working directly with the government and contract team members on pricing, contract negotiations, and other collaborative efforts

Lisa Shepherd, Vice President, Human Resources Director
Lisa Shepherd joined 
BAI in 2006 and holds a Master of Public Administration with a minor in Human Resource Management from Bowie State University. She oversees all elements of employee hiring and placement, benefit coordination and is the payroll administrator.
