Our Story, Your Solution
BAI, Inc., was founded in 1999 by retired Naval Officers, John Hardenbergh and Mac Williams, and a strong team of subject matter experts, with the goal of providing professional and program management services to federal, military, and Intelligence Community clientele. BAI competed for and has maintained many well-executed contracts, some with EXCEPTIONAL CPARs, some with incumbencies lasting 15 years or longer.
Our early work as a startup 8(a) and SDVOSB company involved pioneering development in arms control and treaty management. BAI excelled in this area and established a strong track record of authority as a thought leader in the arms control and treaty management space.
BAI experienced rapid growth in staff and revenue and branched out to cover many additional work areas including Administrative and Advisory Services, IT Network and Help Desk Support, Acquisition Management, Enterprise Architecture, Naval Engineering Support, Regulatory and Compliance Services, and Security Administration, garnering numerous client awards, accolades, and industry recognition.
The unifying core of our work over all contracts and task orders has been support for critical infrastructure protection and information security. BAI performs security administrative services for Private Clients and specializes in the niche information privacy and secure data management space.
BAI has teamed with subsidiary and partner BAIMMT LLC, DBA Gold Comet, to develop software products in the information privacy space. BAI has supported Gold Comet through the development of patented, secure file sharing, secure file storage, and secure messaging, operating within a secure, proprietary cloud environment. Current product development includes the integration of cutting-edge quantum security technology into these products.
Critical infrastructure protection is a leading concern for the government, private industry, and the nation today. Our Services
Defense Industrial Base
BAI has supported the Defense Industrial Base sector’s critical infrastructure strength via program management support, administrative and advisory services, arms control and treaty management, enterprise architecture, and additional professional work areas for federal, military, and industry clientele. Our clients include and have included such organizations as the Department of Defense, the Department of the Navy, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of the Army, the Department of the Air Force, the US Marine Corps, and the Intelligence Community. BAI’s overall objective since inception has been to enhance the Defense Industrial Base infrastructure with subject matter expertise, implementation of innovative efficiency improvements, and exceeding mission accomplishment goals.
BAI has long-term experience in supporting organizational IT network and help desk operations with personnel in disparate locations, providing 24x7 network and systems engineering coverage, including high-level design, implementation planning, coordination, validation testing, documentation and support of all connected systems. BAI improved client level of service with development of an advanced ticketing system which streamlined customer operations. In addition, BAI’s subsidiary, Gold Comet, is focused on development of the Gold Comet Solution, a patented IT information security and network software platform to aid our country’s federal, military defense, and private enterprise systems in infrastructure protection and mitigation of cybersecurity threats.
Internet Technology
Security Administration
BAI’s security administration support programs have employed national cyber defense personnel across the US focusing on Incident Response, Red Team Operations, Systems and Network Administration, and Help Desk operations for Private Clients. Our service capabilities include information security, information security policy development, analysis, and implementation, information records management, data transfer operations, document security classification, and support for restricted access programs. BAI has also run a successful acquisition center for private clients to develop, process, and release Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and evaluate proposal bids within a secure and access-controlled environment.
BAI conducts innovative science and technology research and support representing the Department of Homeland Security’s interests in interagency and international technology policy discussions to include Armed Export Controls Act (AECA), and accompanying International Traffic-in-Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Our analysts provide and assist our clients with compliance support and oversight functions to ensure client-funded activities are compliant with relevant international agreements, federal regulations, policies, and related standards and guidance, with a particular focus on the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) and the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). BAI provides arms control and treaty compliance and implementation support to several US government offices including the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Department of the Army.
